Figure Skater Yuzuru Hanyu Certified First 4A On Olympic Ice
Japanese figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu is the first man to certify a quadruple axel on Olympic ice.
The skater suffered an injury during practice on Wednesday, however, he was graciously quoted as saying: “I had a few mistakes but I showed people my story.“
Despite his injury, he still attempted the quadruple axel and was able to have the move certified!
Fans have been rushing to Twitter to share their love for the GOAT (greatest of all time) figure skater. Among the praise shared for him online are “Yuzuru Hanyu you are a once in a lifetime skater,” “yuzuru hanyu is the greatest figure skater of all time and nothing will ever change that fact,” and “yuzuru hanyu is worth more than a gold medal, more than the olympics, he is truly the heart and soul of figure skating.“
Yuzuru Hanyu is truly one of the greatest athletes of all time. We’re very proud of you, Yuzuru!
