Today, November 1, is everyone’s favorite kitty’s birthday.

Hello Kitty is an anthropomorphized cat who was born in the suburbs of London. She lives with her parents and her twin sister Mimmy. She goes by her full name, Kitty White. She wears a red bow, while her sister Mimmy, wears a yellow bow.

Hello Kitty Was Created in 1974

Hello Kitty is one of Sanrio’s most beloved characters, which designer Yuko Shimizu created. After graduating from an art university, Shimizu worked for Sanrio. Her first creation was the bear Coro Chan in 1973. She went on to design Hello Kitty the following year.
