Who is “Good News Unnie”? Good News Unnie started out as an idea by an Asian American woman who loves feel-good news and K-Pop. After starting the site, her friend, a fellow K-Pop lover, asked to join in on the adventure. So, “Good News Unnie” isn’t just one person but two (for now)!

“Good News Unnie” Shrimpie is a writer by profession, with experience reporting on K-Pop for several media outlets. Of course, it’s the good news she likes sharing the most, and that’s why she started this site! (If you’re looking for all breaking news and entertainment articles, she recommends you visit her friend W’s site, fansdramaw! They also promote an artist of the month, and you never know when your bias will be their featured artist. 🙂 )

“Good News Unnie” Monday is an avid K-Pop fan from the Philippines. She loves girl groups, but Red Velvet and fromis_9 are among her favorites.

“Good News Unnie” is a labor of love, and while we’d love to report on every single good thing that happens across K-Pop and Asian entertainment, it simply isn’t feasible with just the two of us. 🙂 Please be kind and understand that we love all good news and hold no biases.
